Measles Immunity for Migrant Domestic Workers
As mandated by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), from 1 September 2025, Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) working in households with children below 7 years old who are not vaccinated against measles, must have immunity against measles.
If you have a child under 7 who is not fully vaccinated against Measles, your migrant domestic worker will need to be vaccinated before her work pass can be issued or renewed.
To be fully vaccinated, two doses of the MMR vaccine are required, at an interval of at least four weeks (28 days) between doses.
Conveniently located in City Square Mall, Little Haven Family Clinic offers both the MMR jab and the paperwork you’ll need to submit to MOM.
Not sure if your helper needs the jab? Here’s a quick guide:
- She’s never had the MMR vaccine
- She had one dose before but not two
- She doesn’t remember her vaccine history
- Your child under 7 isn’t fully vaccinated
When you bring your helper to us, here’s what to expect:
- A doctor’s consultation
- Two doses of the MMR vaccine
- MOM-compliant vaccination records
- Option for a serology test if you’re unsure of her past vaccine history
- Measles is a highly transmissible disease and young children who aren’t fully vaccinated are especially at risk of serious complications.
- By getting your helper vaccinated, you’re not just protecting your own household, you’re helping build a safer, healthier community for everyone.
- It’s a small step that makes a big difference in strengthening public health and keeping vulnerable groups safe.
