Dr Leo Hamilton is a Singapore-registered Specialist Paediatrician practising here since 2011. He trained in medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, his Paediatric residency at Maine Medical Centre, and a fellowship in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

He has multiple peer-reviewed academic publications and was a co-primary investigator at St. Jude for a Children’s Oncology Group study of genetic causes of a complication of chemotherapy in leukaemia.

Today, as a general paediatrician, he happily continues to attend international conferences and give talks in Singapore to support evidence-based medicine and the most current treatments in children, primarily in trying to reduce unnecessary testing, medications (primarily antibiotics), and hospitalisations.

He provides care from newborns to teens. While he still enjoys and is involved in the care of children for haematologic problems, he is primarily caring for general paediatric concerns, especially issues such as modern asthma care, ADHD, and developmental and behavioural issues in children and teens. He has a strong interest in treating coughs, colds, and chest and ear infections with the current guidelines for limiting medications and avoiding antibiotics.

When he is not at Little Haven Family Clinic, Dr Leo practices at Children’s Clinic International in Paragon.
